DUMAGUETE 2011: Malatapay Tabo Market

Malatapay is best known as the entry point to Apo Island. It is a quiet little town that seemed abandoned with the numerous bare huts lined up along the road (to the Apo Island Departure Area). But come here on a Wednesday and watch these huts turn into a colorful store of native and local stuff for everyday living.

Tabo Market is a weekly event where the general populace gather to either buy or sell everyday necessity. From machete or bolo to ropes, tabacco, dried fish, handicrafts and livestocks.
The livestock trade is the highlight of the Tabo Market.  Sellers and buyers gather to find themselves the best livestock deal.
