MT. KANLAON 2008: Wasay Trail Itinerary

The 7th National All Women's Climb was held in Mt. Kanlaon, Negros Occidental on Sept. 24-28, 2008. The events theme to this annual gathering of female climbers was "Dayan Dayan sa Bukid". Participants chose which trail they prefer to climb between Guintubdan or Wasay Trail.

The Guintubdan Trail offers a gradual trail ascend with lesser meterage to the crater. The Wasay Trail is a more difficult trail, farther to the crater yet passing by the lush mossy forest of Hardin Sang Balo. I thought it was worth seeing so I chose the Wasay Trial and so did 12 other girls.
